On rye bread, grilled to perfection, this classic Reuben sandwich has soft corned beef, sour sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing.
Ingredients:
- 8 slices rye bread
- 1/2 cup Russian dressing
- 1 pound thinly sliced corned beef
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
Instructions:
Spread Russian dressing on one side of each slice of rye bread
Layer corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on 4 slices of bread
Top with remaining bread slices to form sandwiches
Spread butter on the outsides of the sandwiches
Heat a skillet over medium heat
Place sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side
Slice sandwiches diagonally and serve hot
