1: Please explain more what you do.
LinkedIn and Résumé Optimization and Career Collaborator.
I help people ATTRACT jobs and leads by helping them create LinkedIn Profiles That POP!™
I also create résumés but consider them secondary. What good is a perfect résumé that is never seen?
I coach throughout the collaboration process and follow Ikigai...

2: What is your biggest life lesson?
That we'd do well to consider Ikigai instead of the typical American Dream approach to a career. Go to school. Decide a major. Get a degree. Find a job. Try to earn more money. Decide we are bored and want more. Get to the end of our lives and wish for more. Start looking for more purpose and happiness. Retire. Done!
I say that we go about a career, backwards! See this post for an intro: https://jaredjwiese.fyi.to/ikigai/s/zA4A72_
My life story is partially on the slides 4 & 5 here: https://jaredjwiese.fyi.to/ikigai/s/9Ybcb3_

3: What is your biggest achievement?
Helping people get more in charge of their careers with LinkedIn - instead of chasing some corporate ladder.
I get better and better at it. I recently help get a client 1,575% more LinkedIn profile views - that's 15X! Going from 16 in a week (average) to 268 - along with hundreds of messages and several interviews.

Amy L. Bovaird's Interview

1: Please explain more what you do.

My background is in teaching English as a Second Language. From 1984 - 2006 I taught in a wide variety of positions, mostly overseas, from children to adults. In 2006, I returned the States and eventually taught Spanish I, II and III to high school students. The next year, I also took on a position teaching Spanish to elementary school students, Spanish II to high school and managed an ESL program at a Christian school.
One school closed down and I left the other school because my vision and hearing loss created problems and the struggle to maintain my classroom became too frustrating.

Today I focus on speaking and writing. I am the author of three books, two with the theme of vision loss and one on coping with loss in general (devotional). My message is You can live a full life with vision and hearing loss. The biggest components in my talks are humor and faith and how I use them to live my best life.

I am writing my third and final book in the Mobility series called Second Sight: Mofe Life Lessons in Mobility. I share stories of life with vision loss and how I overcome obstacles and present interesting and relevant insights.

I am also writing a book about my dad's life (he passed away in 2006) called Don Bovaird The Tree Man and a travel book called Falling for Ecuador (I am sliding off a vine in the interior jungle on the cover). It is a lighthearted account of my travels there.

2: What is your biggest life lesson?
That using a white cane actually brings independence! I had to overcome my fear of the stigma associated with the white cane. I received training from a 100% blind mobility instructor. It was an incredible experience filled with fear but ending in confidence.

3: What is your biggest achievement?

I don't think I have one specific big achievement. But living overseas and traveling with progressive vision loss was challenging and very rewarding. In 2015, I received an award called Merit of Literature for my first book, Mobility Matters: Stepping Out in Faith by my undergraduate university at an alumni weekend. That was a big honor. I think every day I achieve something by living my best life with optimism and humor.

1: Please explain more what you do.
I am a public relations expert. I help individuals to increase their connections, visibility and credibility through effective public relations strategies. I specialize in media relations, community outreach and reputation management.

2: What is your biggest life lesson?
Always find the silver lining in any situation and just #BEYOU

3: What is your biggest achievement?
I think being a working mom. My kids always come first, but I love working and helping others. The life/work balance is always my biggest challenge to overcome. I try to take things one day at a time and just breathe. I can do it all, but not at the same time.
