Win Charles

The reason why I became an artist is to have an outlet in my life. In 2006 my life got out of control, so to speak, due to me having a six hour back operation that almost killed me. Up until 2006 I was walking under my own power. The summer of '06 was the hardest recovery of my life, and my operation is still very emotionally painful for me to speak on because it changed my life forever.
The story of my art. During the summer of '06 I was doing physical therapy (PT) two to three times a week trying to get good at walking using a walker. One day, near the end of my PT my physical therapist at the time said to me, "Win, you're getting angry and depressed from all this. You need to see a counselor to help". My answer to my physical therapist was, "Sure". On the way home I thought, that's nuts, I'm not doing it. So that same day I looked online for a painting program and found one that I fell in love with and still use today. It took a lot of time for me to achieve where I am today as an artist. Then, this past Summer, my mom, who was also my aid for 23 years became Ill on july 12th. Sadly, she passed away on August 12, 2010. That said, I feel I'm capable of doing most any art.

Danielle Coulter (CO-Owner)

Although I was born with Cerebral Palsy, I do not quit. Giving up is not an option. I am a bright, outgoing, young lady who graduated from Park Hill South High School with an excellent academic record. I attended Park University for two years. I am an author myself. I want to help other people like me do things that they haven't done. I spend a great deal of time on my computer; I even designed and created my own website www.dancanshred.com, which provides a window into my life, hobbies and creative side. I am inspiring to those with whom I come in contact with and am always stretching towards new goals in my life. To be on Ask Win please email me at daniellewwow@gmail.com.
I also loved to act. Here is me in Aladdin in 2006.
